Donald “Duck” Dunn.
Duck was the bassist for Booker T. & The M.G.’s, which also makes him the bassist for Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Sam & Dave, The Staple Singers, Isaac Hayes, and MANY MORE.
I first became aware of him as the bassist for the Blues Brothers. I later learned that he was the guy who talked Belushi and Ackroyd out of doing a straight blues thing, and into modeling their act on Sam & Dave.
He may well be my favorite bassist out of anyone.
A vicarious pleasure or feeling is experienced by watching, listening to, or reading about other people doing something, rather than by doing it yourself.
